We are saddened to learn of the death of Rod C.

Rod joined Phoenix Lodge in 1981 but due to personal circumstances, was unable to take the chair when his first opportunity arose. That certainly did not arrest his enthusiasm for the order and for Phoenix in particular, for in the course of the next thirty-odd years he served variously as Warden and filled in for other officers when they were absent.

Rod's service extended to the Province, where he served as a Provincial Grand Steward for many years. At long last, in 2017 he was installed as Master of the Phoenix Lodge, in a ceremony marked as much for its timeliness as its happiness.

For countless years Rod was the lodge's mentor and Royal Arch representative. In the latter degree he was Past Provincial Grand Registrar, and was most active in his membership of Chapter De Lambton No. 94.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Lived respected; died regretted.
