COVID-19: Next Steps

September 22, 2020

Under the direction of the Grand Master HRH The Duke of Kent, Craft and Chapter masonic activity resumed on 18th July 2020, after a four-month suspension. Although the bar on activity has now been lifted, there remains much work to do to ensure our members may meet in a way that reasonably mitigates the risks of coronavirus transmission. The directors, trustees and committees of the various bodies involved in the upkeep of Phoenix Hall are working tirelessly to make this a reality, in time for September.

Nevertheless, it is certain that our meetings will be delivered in a modified style for some time to come, and members are encouraged to read and respond promptly to future communications from the Secretary on this topic. It is a matter of regret - yet eminently understandable - that we will be unable to welcome visiting brethren for the first meetings in the Autumn. This is in line with guidance issued from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Durham and the United Grand Lodge of England.

Jim was installed as Master of Phoenix Lodge in December 2019, succeeding Rod C.
